Emporos MerchantSoft is a Windows-based retail store management solution supporting touch screen POS, will-call management, barcode scanning, electronic signature capture, Internet-based credit card processing and integration with back office operations. MerchantSoft is designed with the ability to manage high volume, multi-store environments. With MerchantSoft, transactions from each store are replicated to a central repository during the nightly batch, or can be sent every few seconds to a POS management module resulting in almost real-time off- site back up, and up–to-the-minute product and sales information. Any transaction from any store may be retrieved, reviewed, or reprinted. This consolidated data management makes reporting available at either the store level or at the enterprise level. Emporos provides a configurable POS touch screen user interface.

With the Emporos interface, merchants will be able to scan the prescriptions filled with the OpusRx or InteRx Pharmacy Management Systems at the point of sale and capture the relevant transaction data, including signatures. The development of the interface between the products is underway. By allowing merchants to accept Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA) debit cards the Emporos MerchantSoft system is IIAS-compliant.
