OPUS-ISM offers new CarePoints Program [01/23/08]

OPUS-ISM is pleased to announce the addition of the CarePoints Program with optional Med Guide printing. As part of our overall strategy to help increase pharmacy revenue and lower operating costs, OPUS-ISM has introduced a number of value-added marketing and data programs. The goal of these programs is to give OPUS-ISM pharmacy customers a competitive edge in their community, raise levels of customer service with patients, and lower the overall costs of their pharmacy management systems.

In addition to offering a valuable customer service, participating pharmacies receive a credit against their OPUS-ISM bill based on the number of CarePoints documents that are printed and given to patients.

“We estimate that the average pharmacy could save $100 or more per month by offering CarePoints to patients, in addition, delivering helpful information to patients” said Doug Robertson, CEO of OPUS-ISM. “The value of CarePoints is expected to grow as more and more drug programs and patient messages are added to the service.”

Medication Guides (Med Guides):  automates a compliance requirement and allows pharmacies to meet FDA regulations to distribute Medication Guides for certain prescription medicines. The Med Guides are available at no charge.
