IIAS-Compliant POS Solutions Now Available [01/03/09]

OPUS-ISM's IIAS-Compliant POS Solutions Now Available to Customers

OPUS-ISM is pleased to announce that the InteRx and OpusRx POS systems have met the new IRS requirements for IIAS-eligibility and have been successfully deployed with customers. As part of this program, OPUS-ISM has released upgraded versions of its OpusRx and InteRx POS software. The upgraded POS software is integrated with the SIGIS Eligible Product List and allows the POS system to conduct split tender transactions, so that the eligible items may be charged to a customer’s FSA debit card while non-eligible merchandise can be paid for by the customer with cash, check, house charge or a non-FSA debit or credit card. The OPUS-ISM POS system is only IIAS-compliant when combined with a store’s membership in SIGIS and integrated with an IIAS-certified credit card processor. The initial preferred IIAS-certified credit card processor partner for OPUS-ISM’s POS solutions is X-Charge, which offers a fast and secure payment-processing platform with some of the lowest pricing in the industry. Through our partnership, merchants committing to process transactions through X-Charge will receive a copy of X-Charge software at no charge. Pharmacies that have already switched their credit card processing to X-Charge are enjoying an average monthly savings of $55.00 on their processing fees. OPUS-ISM is also working on certifying other payment processors, and we hope to announce new IIAS-compliant credit card processing partners in the future. The updated InteRx and OpusRx POS solutions will also be compliant with the latest PCI DSS standard (version 1.2).
