Off-Site Backup Disaster Recovery

Complete Managed Backup Solution

OPUS-ISM’s Off-Site Backup Disaster Recovery provides a complete managed backup solution for a pharmacy’s data, including: (1) a primary backup stored on the pharmacy system, (2) a secondary backup stored on an alternative storage media, such as a tape drive, external hard drive, separate PC or server, and (3) an additional backup which is encrypted and securely transferred to a state-of-the-art remote off-site data center featuring redundant power, fire suppression and cooling systems. This off-site copy is available 24/7/365, making the data immediately available for disaster recovery.

Fully Managed

The OPUS-ISM Off-Site Storage service is fully managed. Pharmacies no longer need to remember to store tapes at an alternate location, and don’t even have to check if the off-site backup was successful. OPUS-ISM will monitor the off-site backup process remotely and alert the pharmacy of any issues.

Data Security

Data is transferred to the off-site server using a 256-bit RC4 encryption method with a rolling key – most banks only use 128-bit encryption. The rolling key changes frequently, securing all communication against man-in-the-middle attacks.

No Additional Hardware Required!

OPUS-ISM will install and configure a small application at the pharmacy that helps manage the backup of data files to the secure off-site data center. Although there is no additional hardware required, the system must have sufficient disk space and memory and Internet connection.

Technical Support

24 / 7 telephone support is available for emergency remote disaster recovery.
